The southbound crash occurred around 8 p.m. near Route 134 in Yorktown, with the vehicle landing on its side before the fire broke out.
While responding, Yorktown Heights Fire Department units were updated that the driver may have been ejected from the vehicle. Upon arrival, it was confirmed that the occupant was out of the car and had not been ejected.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and the Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported the occupant to an area hospital with minor injuries.
